Tiani Gibson is a Black nonbinary author based in Atlanta Georgia. She earned her BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and has been published in the school’s Honeycomb Literary publication. Her work has also appeared in Rough Draft Atlanta’s “50 Years of Civil Rights” issue, with one piece chosen for their print copy. She prides herself on creating stories for Queer, Black and Brown audiences. She’s written short stories for a wide variety of topics such as plastic surgery, mermaids and eldritch horror. She is also known to write essays on Race and Gender studies.

Tia strives to make her stories relatable for those who need them, providing representation for all the people who haven’t been represented in genres like Horror, Romance, Fantasy or even the weird combination of all three that she specializes in. She hopes to connect with people via her work, and to create a space for writers, young and old to feel comfortable to create. She’s currently working on an animated short with her partner in work and in life, Nasir Morrison, on “FishTail: the Animated Short Series.”
